Gregory Fleming

Mr. Fleming was the President of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management from 2011 to January 2016. Mr. Fleming joined Morgan Stanley in February 2010 as President of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, a role also held until October 2015. Before that, Mr. Fleming spent 17 years at Merrill Lynch in a succession of roles. He was an investment banker for financial institutions and served as the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer from 2007 to 2009. Amidst the 2008 financial crisis, he brokered the sale of Merrill Lynch to Bank of America.

Mr. Fleming is a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Yale Law School’s Center for the Study of Corporate Law. As a Senior Research Scholar, Mr. Fleming teaches, writes and conducts research related to ethics in financial markets.

Among Mr. Fleming’s civic and volunteer activities, he is a member of the Economic Club of New York and the Council on Foreign Relations. He is on the Board of Trustees of Colgate University and Deerfield Academy. He serves on the Board of Governors of The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the industry’s self-regulatory body. He is a Director on the Board of the Turn 2 Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House of New York. Mr. Fleming and his family is also engaged in a number of different philanthropic activities.
